When oral development does not go as expected, it can impact how we breathe, sleep, eat and talk. Kerry uses a unique approach to address oral motor and speech challenges with children and adults, always keeping her "myo eyes" on to develop optimal functioning, beginning with the foundation.
With over a decade of experience in a variety of settings, Kerry Lipanot has found a passion helping children and adults overcome the challenges associated with orofacial myofunctional disorders and related speech and feeding/swallowing disorders. Elevate was formed to provide thorough evaluations and to create and implement personalized treatment plans for each client. Kerry is a lifelong learner, and has discovered the amazing benefits to her clients' progress using a collaborative therapy approach with related professionals. Through this multi-disciplinary approach, she continues to deepen her knowledge as she learns to see her clients from various perspectives. Creating a team of professionals for each client's unique situation is so fulfilling. She prioritizes developing personal relationships and listening to her client's needs in order to achieve their optimal level of functioning. Kerry's passion is to support her clients through their journey from surviving to thriving.
Kerry is fully credentialed with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and holds a current license with the Minnesota Department of Health. Kerry has focused her professional development in the area of orofacial myofunctional therapy (including assessment and treatment planning for treatment of tethered oral tissues), airway/breathing, sleep and oral motor strategies for speech and feeding.
Kerry recently completed the Buteyko Clinic International's Instructor training and became a Certified Instructor of the Buteyko Breathing Method. Breathing has become a strong passion of Kerry's as she learned of its many health benefits, including physical and mental health, as well as improved sleep quality.
